Command: Area  or Measuregeom
Short-cut : AA

Calculate Area & Perimeter of Selected object or define Area.

We can find the area by Mouseclick different Corner points shown in the above fig.Result shown in the Command-line window. It shows both Area & perimeter. ( Green Color shows the calculated area).

Object(O): We can calculate the area by Selecting an Object. We can calculate the area of Circle, Ellipse, Closed Polyline Object. If we select open 2D Polyline / 2D Spline, then AutoCAD Calculate area of that Polyline/Spline by joining the First & Last points of Spline/ polyline.

If Area is not Single Closed, then we can use Join / Boundary / Region Command to Create Single closed Compound Object. After that we can simply Calculate are by Selecting that object.

Add Area(a): We can calculate the total cumulative area by specifying subsequent areas by either corner points or selecting objects.

Subtract Area(s): We can subtract are by corner points or selecting objects from the Total area.
