How to write Mtext in AutoCAD Software?

Hello, Friends
Today We will learn Multiline Text(MText) In AutoCAD Software.

COMMAND : Mtext
Short-cut : MT
Menu : Draw > Text > Multiline Text

By Mtext Command, We can write Paragraph Text or Multilines in AutoCAD.There are many advantages in Mtext like Formatting Tools, Paragraph, Symbols, Columns.


Type "Mtext" Command, then Specify First and opposite corner on screen by Mouseclick.

Write Text inside Mtext Window. We can change Text Style, Text Font, Text Height & Annotation option from Formatting Tools.We can Apply Bold & Italic Effect on True type Fonts.We can also Apply Underline & Overline to Selected Text.


Oblique Angle: Write Slant Text using Oblique Angle. Angle should be between -85 to +85.
Tracking : Adjust the spacing between Text Characters. Min.0.75 & Max.4.0 Value.
Width Factor : Narrow or Widen Selected Text. Min.0.1 & Max.10.0


Stack: We can add horizonal line, diagonal line, Tolerance value using Slash (/), Pound(#) & Carat(^) Symbol in Text.


Justification : Specify Justification for Selected Text. TL,TC,TR,ML,MC,MR,BL,BC,BR.


Bullets & Numbering: Specify Bullet & Numbering Styles for Selected Text.We can Restart Number by "Start" Option and Continue Number by "Continue" Option.


Line Spacing : Adjust the Spacing between Multilines in Mtext. Min.0.25X & Max.4x Value.
     Exactly : Forces the line spacing to be same sizes for all lines regardless of format differences such as style and height.
    At Least: Adjust the Line Spacing as per the largest character of Text. 


Symbols : We can add symbol from list or from Character Map. Symbols like Not Equal, Almost Equal, Ohm, Pi, Alpha, Beta etc. We can also type Shortcut like we can use %%d for Degree Symbol.


Insert Field : We can insert Ready to use field like Current Date & Time, File Name, File Size from Insert Field option.

Paragraph : Specify First indent, Right indent, Hanging Indent ,Tab Stops setting.
    Tabs: We can specify Left,Center, Right & Decimal Tab Indent.
    Decimal Style: Select Decimal Style : Period, Comma, Space.
    Left Indent : Set the Indent Value for First line in paragraph.
    Right Indent : set the right indent value to selected or current paragraph.
    Paragraph Alignment : Set the alignment Left,Center,Right,Justify & Distributed for current paragraph.


Distribute : Selected Text is Distribute from start to endpoint of line with equal character spacing.
Justify : Adjusts the spacing between words in line to align all the lines both sides.


Columns: Convert selected paragraph into Column Text.
    Dynamic : Automatic Columns are created.No. of Columns are depends upon width of Column & Height of Column.We can specify Automatic Height & Manual Height Option in
Dynamic.
    Static : We can specify No.of Columns.Value of Columns are between 1 to 100.


We can change Column Width, Gutter, Column Height, Column Type, Column Number from Column Dialog Box.

Convert Singleline Text into Multiline Text using TXT2MTXT Command in AutoCAD.

Hello, Friends Today We learn TXT2MTXT Command in AutoCAD. We can convert one or more Single line Text objects into Multiline Text (Mtext) Object. COMMAND : TXT2MTXT MENU : EXPRESS > TEXT > CONVERT TEXT TO MTEXT Settings > Combine into a single mtext object Combine Selected single line text objects into single mtext objects. Text ordering - Sort top-down Specifies the order of the selected text by descending vertical position. Text ordering - Select order of text Specifies the order of the selected text by manual selection by Mouseclick. Word-wrap text  Combines all the lines of text into a single line, and then wraps any text that exceeds the width of the mtext object to the next line.
