Lineweight Properties : AutoCAD


Hello, Friends
Today We will Learn Lineweight Properties. Lineweight is used to Show geometry darker & thicker. We can apply lineweight to outer section lines of hatches. If the Lineweight value is set to Bylayer then Lineweight value assigns from the layer properties manager. If the Lineweight value is set to By block, default lineweight settings apply to selected geometry. After Selecting the object mouseclick lineweight value in the list.

If We Apply Lineweight properties on any object. We can hide/show lineweight properties by LWDISPLAY Command (Type: On to show Lineweight, Off to hide Lineweight) or We can mouseclick on lwdisplay icon on the status bar.

We can select different lineweight values from the list. By default, the Lineweight value is in millimeters but we can change it to inches. The default lineweight value is  0.25mm.To change linweight settings use the LW command. We can also adjust the lineweight display scale from settings.

In the Below figure, We can see different lineweight values applied to the circles.
