Scale Command : AutoCAD


Hello, Friends
Today We will see Scale Command. By Scale Command, We can increase or decrease the size of selected objects uniformly.

COMMAND: SCALE (enter)
SHORT-CUT: SC (enter)
MENU : MODIFY > SCALE
RIBBON / TOOL ICON: 

Increase or Decrease the size of selected objects uniformly. 

Scale factor            Change in Size
Below 1                   Decrease Size
Above 1                   Increase Size
     1                        No change


Steps:
Select objects: Select Rectangle (enter)
specify base point: Mouseclick at the corner of the rectangle (shown in fig)
specify scale factor or [Copy / Reference] : 1.5 (enter)

Copy(c): Create a copy of the Selected object while Scaling.


Steps:
Select objects: Select Circle (enter)
specify base point: Mouseclick at the Bottom of the circle (shown in fig)
specify scale factor or [Copy / Reference] : C (enter)
specify scale factor or [Copy / Reference] : 1.5 (enter)

Reference(r): Scale the selected object by using a reference length with a new length. We can also take Two points as reference for New length.


Steps:
Select objects: Select Polygon(enter)
specify base point: Mouseclick at the Left - Bottom of the Polygon (shown in fig)
specify scale factor or [Copy / Reference] :R (enter)
specify Reference length : 2.27 (enter)
specify new length or [Points] : 3.74 (enter)
