Rotate Command : AutoCAD
Hello, Friends
Today We will learn about Rotate command. By Rotate command, We can Rotate selected objects in the Clockwise & AntiClockwise Direction.
COMMAND: ROTATE(enter)
SHORT-CUT: RO(enter)
MENU : MODIFY > ROTATE
RIBBON / TOOL ICON :
We can rotate selected objects in the Clockwise & Anticlockwise direction.
Positive + = Counter clockwise / Anticlockwise Direction
Negative - = Clockwise Direction
Steps:
Select objects: select rectangle
specify basepoint: mouseclick on the corner of rectangle (shown in fig.)
specify rotation angle [Copy / Reference ] : 30 (enter)
Copy(c): Create a copy of selected object while rotating objects.
Steps:
Select objects: select objects (shown in fig.)
specify basepoint: mouseclick on the center of the circle (shown in fig.)
specify rotation angle [Copy / Reference ] : c (enter
specify rotation angle [Copy / Reference ] : 180 (enter)
Reference(r): Rotate selected object from a specified angle to a new absolute angle (From 0 Angle).
We can also take two points as references for a new angle.
Steps:
Select objects: select rectangle (shown in fig.)
specify basepoint: Mouseclick at the corner of the rectangle (shown in fig.)
specify rotation angle [Copy / Reference ] : r (enter)
specify the reference angle: 114.5 (enter)
specify new angle or [Points] : 47.25 (enter)
