Mirror Command : AutoCAD
Hello Friends,
Today We will see Mirror Command in AutoCAD.Mirror Command is used to create Symmetrical objects of selected Objects.
COMMAND: MIRROR (Enter)
SHORT-CUT: MI (Enter)
MENU : MODIFY > MIRROR
RIBBON / TOOL ICON :
We can either First Select the objects then apply Mirror Command or We can first apply Mirror Command then select the objects.
Steps :
Select Objects: Select objects to Mirror
Specify First point of Mirror Line: Mouseclick 1 (see above image)
Specify Second point of Mirror Line: Mouseclick 2 (see above image)
We can also make a mirror copy of selected objects on any angle.for that you have to specify @distance<angle for second point of the mirror line.in Mirror command distance is not important but the angle is important.
Steps :
Select Objects: Select objects to Mirror
Specify First point of Mirror Line: Mouseclick on the center of a circle (see above image)
Specify Second point of Mirror Line: @1<60 (see above image)
(We want to mirror objects on 120 angle so we can take half of 120 i.e.60 angle with respect to 0 angle for the mirror.you can take any distance for a mirror , we have taken 1)
you can draw objects using mirror command shown in below fig.
