Break Command : AutoCAD

Hello, Friends

Today We will learn about Break Command. We can either break selected object by two break points or we can break selected object by single break point.

COMMAND : BREAK (enter)

SHORT-CUT : BR (enter)

MENU : MODIFY > BREAK

TOOL ICON : 

We can Break selected object by two break points.By default selected object point is consider as first break point but we can specify first break point by first point option.

Steps :

Select object : Select Circle / line  (shown in fig.)

Specify second break point or [First point] : f (enter)

Specify first break point : Mouse click on object (shown in fig)

Specify Second break point : Mouse click on object (shown in fig.)

COMMAND : BREAKATPOINT

RIBBON / TOOL ICON : 

Break selected object by single point only.This command is new from AutoCAD 2021 Version.

Steps :

Select object: Select line  (shown in fig.)

Specify break point : mouseclick shown in fig.
