Ellipse Command : AutoCAD



Hello, Friends
Today We will learn about Ellipse Command. How we can draw an ellipse in the drawing?

COMMAND : ELLIPSE (enter)
SHORT-CUT : EL (enter)
MENU : DRAW > ELLIPSE
RIBBON / TOOLBAR : 


There are a total of two methods two draw an Ellipse.
1) Axis end
2) Center

1) Axis end
    

steps:
Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Arc / Center]: Mouseclick 1
Specify other axis endpoint: 10 (enter)  or mouseclick 2
Specify distance to other axis: 2(enter) or mouseclick 3

2) Center(c)


steps:
Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Arc / Center]: c (enter)
Specify center of Ellipse: Mouseclick 1
Specify endpoint of axis: 5(enter) or Mouseclick 2
Specify other axis endpoint: 10 (enter)  or mouseclick 2
Specify distance to other axis: 2(enter) or mouseclick 3

Arc(a): By this option, We can draw an Elliptical arc. First We have to draw an Arc using Axis end or center option then We have to specify the Start Angle of Elliptical Arc and End angle of Elliptical Arc.


 Start Angle = 90 & End Angle =270  (Both Angles are Absolute Angles)

steps :
Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Arc / Center]: c (enter)
Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Center]: Mouseclick 1 (same as Axis end)
Specify other axis endpoint: 10 (enter)  or mouseclick 2 (same as Axis end)
Specify distance to other axis: 2(enter) or mouseclick 3 (same as Axis end)
Specify start angle: 90 (enter)
Specify end angle or [Included angle] : 270 (enter)


Start Angle = 90 & End Angle =270  (End angle is included angle)

steps :
Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Arc / Center]: c (enter)
Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Center]: Mouseclick 1 (same as Axis end)
Specify other axis endpoint: 10 (enter)  or mouseclick 2 (same as Axis end)
Specify distance to other axis: 2(enter) or mouseclick 3 (same as Axis end)
Specify start angle: 90 (enter)
Specify end angle or [Included angle]: I (enter)
Specify included angle for arc: 270 (enter)
