Object Snap : AutoCAD

Hello, Friends
Today We will learn about Object Snap (OSNAP). To Work Speedly and Preciously, We can use Object Snap. To work point to point We can use OSNAP.
We can work with different points like Endpoint, Center, Midpoint, Intersection, Tangent, Nearest, Node, Perpendicular, Parallel, Extension, Apparent Intersection, Geometric Center, Quadrant.

Line object has Midpoint, Nearest & Endpoint. Arc, Ellipse,Circle objects have Center, Quadrant & Tangent. Closed polyline like rectangle, Polygon has a Geometric center. Parallel lines have parallel and perpendicular lines have perpendicular points. If two or more objects are intersecting then it has intersection points. for 3d Intersection in different planes, it shows apparent intersection points. The point object is the Node. Block and text objects have an insertion point.

To show particular points we can type the first three characters of that point.e.g.
Line command
Specify first point: mouseclick
specify next point: cen  ( for Center point)

The same way we a type mid for midpoint, end for the endpoint, Int for intersection point. We can also use SHIFT + mouseclick right-click to show all object snap, then we can select any osnap point.

Use Mouse click on the OSNAP button to change settings. You can select or deselect Object snap from the list.

Use CTRL + F key or F3 key to Turn on or Turn off Object Snap.
